The Rythre Arms – Steakhouse
  • ABOUT

The Rythre Arms has been the Steak Mecca of Yorkshire for over 25 years. We are situated in a traditional, centuries old, pub restaurant nestled between Tadcaster and Selby and serve the best locally sourced beef available. Our steaks are matured and butchered on the premises and range in size from the modest 6 ounce Fillet to the Giant T-bone that comes in at an awe-inspiring 38 ounces!

Our renowned head chef, Andrew Bennett, cooks all the dishes fresh to order. This ensures that you can not only get the best steak possible, but also exceptionally fresh seafood, lamb, pork and chicken.

Every meal comes with fresh vegetables and potatoes. Additionally, we offer an impressive range of homemade sauces to accompany the steak of your choice. We also recommend saving room for dessert. You can try the homemade Jam Roly Poly, Lemon Cheesecake or one of our other decadent choices to finish your meal.

Proprietors Tony and Lisa Linley and manager Barbara Brown invite you to join them seven nights a week.

Please take a peek at our menu and then make your reservations either through our reservations page or by calling us: 01757 322372.

We look forward to seeing you at The Rythre Arms Steakhouse!

A Brief History:

The Rythre Arms Steakhouse can be found in the village of Ryther between Tadcaster and Selby. This quaint pub and restaurant has been run by the Linley family since 1984.

It was originally established as a specialist game restaurant by Eric and Marina. With Eric’s experience as a master butcher and slaughter man (over twenty years!) he knew the best types of meats and the techniques required to give them exceptional flavour and tenderness. Although the restaurant received glowing reviews with its game inspired menu, it quickly became apparent that the beef and steak were the stars of the show.

As time went on, the game dishes were replaced and The Rythre Arms became a steak lover’s paradise! We not only offer a wide variety of steak cuts, but a wide range of sizes as well. We can satisfy any appetite – large or small.

Now two decades on, Tony and Lisa Linley are offering the same great steak menu alongside dishes of fresh fish, seafood, lamb, pork and poultry. Although our menu has evolved over the years, the one thing that has not changed is the quality of our food. You will find we use only the freshest, raw ingredients and cook everything to order. We have top-notch steaks and various other delectable dishes to suit the whole family’s desires. We can also boast the highest compliment possible – a word of mouth reputation like no other!
