Myself and my partner called here this evening on the off chance we might get a table in the restaurant. Unfortunately they were fully booked however we were offered a table in the Stable bar. I must admit I was a little disappointed at first as there was only rump steak available and it's not my preferred cut. We both ordered the 16oz steak and can honestly say it was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The chips were superb and the salad was excellent, a good variety with a nice dressing. My only criticism would be that the batter on the onion rings was a little bit thick and stodgy in parts. Other than that, I'd highly recommend to anyone. We'll definitely be going back soon !

The best steak I've had this side of the Atlantic. I got a double rump blue and it was cooked to perfection. Packed with flavour and just the right amount of fat.

I think I might have found my new favourite restaurant and only 7 miles from home. I will be back!

Hello everyone @ Rythre Arms.

We were honored to turn up on your web page. Wish it had been the picture with the plates all full instead of the patrons. All I can say is come with an appetite! Thank you for your hospitality. I am encouraging any one with "Ryther" in their linage to make a pilgrimage to your well kept Village and Church topped off with dinner at the "Arms".

You make us proud to share the name.

David, Sherry, Daniala and Phyllis.

Keep them big prawns please, I don't mind what you do with them but they are a must on that menu. How about some fish?

If you are going to substitute the prawns for chicken (why not do both) you'll need to either cut the chicken into small pieces so it will cook really quickly or get a couple of corn fed supreme's with the skin on (more flavour with the skin on and less need for oil when adding the other ingredients later) and cook them in the pan first, add the other ingredients for the last 3-4 minutes of cooking. By using the same pan you will get all the flavour of the chicken which works really well (we've tried it).
