The Rythre Arms – Steakhouse
  • RYTHRETOUR

On June 13th 2010 there will be an event of truly massive proportions. A group of highly unskilled and particularly unhealthy individuals will be attempting the unthinkable.

Cycling from Ryther to London

We are convinced that nobody has ever dared to do this before and that the ramifications of such a feat will send ripples around the world.

It will not be easy; we intend to do this journey of approximately 270 miles over 4 days, spending our nights gathering strength in local hostels and our days burning the rubber on our unimpressive machines. So that this incredible effort achieves more than making our backsides extremely sore, we are asking people to sponsor us. The money raised will go to support a number of  charities all of which really need our support.

Please click on the riders name to pledge your support.

The riders so far:

Lisa Linley – Riding for Bodyform and supporting “The Yorkshire Air Ambulance”

Al Athraby – Seriously thinks he can do it? and supporting “Epilepsy Research UK”

Tim Crombie – Still thinking he has time to drop out and supporting “Meningitis Research”

Jim Drake – Has not got a clue what he’s let himself in for! and supporting “Meningitis Research” with Tim

Richard Cooke – Just realising his groin has other uses and supporting “Leeds Fans Remembrance”

Tony Linley – If I cut off my ears will I be faster? supporting “Candlelighters”

A couple more coming soon.

In the support vehicle:

Marina Linley – Determined not to burst blisters and supporting “Eric’s map reading LOL”

Eric Linley – Riding shotgun and the van, supporting “Keep a SAFE distance from the riders (about 30 minutes should do)”

Here is the ROUTE, I hope anyway?

Well, we finished!

Here’s the story.
